NEXUS BEAD SYNTHETIC VARIANTS
The NEXUS bead by Element. These versions are different types of plastics.
ULTEM - Polyetherimide - is an ultra-high-performance amorphous thermoplastic renowned for its exceptional strength, heat resistance, and inherent flame retardancy. It is widely utilized across the aerospace, medical, and electronics industries to replace metal and withstand extreme mechanical and environmental stress.
BLUE DELRIN - Polyoxymethylene - is a high-performance engineering plastic prized for its extreme stiffness, high tensile strength, and low friction. It machines cleanly like a soft metal and resists moisture. The blue color is primarily used as a safety indicator in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as it is the only color that does not naturally occur in the food chain, making broken plastic parts easily detectable by optical scanners.
BLACK DELRIN - Polyoxymethylene - is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic. Known for its metal-like strength, high stiffness, and low friction. It is favored for precision machined parts like gears, bushings, and rollers. The black variant provides a clean appearance and offers slightly enhanced UV stability compared to natural grades.
